About Oracy Spark
Oracy Spark was created to make high-quality speaking and listening easy to deliver in real classrooms.

In busy schools, it can be difficult to find the time to plan meaningful opportunities for pupils to talk, explain and express their ideas. Oracy Spark removes that barrier by providing simple, structured prompts that can be used straight away — with no extra preparation needed.

I’m a primary teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience, including more than a decade in Year 6. I understand the pressures teachers face and the importance of making every minute count.
Oracy Spark has been designed with that in mind — practical, purposeful and ready to use, whether it’s a quick classroom discussion, a small group intervention or a focused speaking activity.

Oracy Spark also draws on experience across different phases of primary education, ensuring that prompts are accessible, engaging and appropriate for a range of ages and abilities.

The aim is simple:
To help teachers build confident speakers, develop vocabulary and create classrooms where every child has a voice — without adding to workload.
